Briefly describe the organization’s mission: ALBANY GENERAL HOSPITAL (AGH) ACHIEVES ITS MISSION OF IMPROVING THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ITS MEDICAL AND SURGICAL HOSPITAL AND HEALTHCARE CLINICS PROVIDING OUTPATIENT CARE SERVICES AT SEVERAL AREA LOCATIONS.AGH IS A MEMBER OF SAMARITAN HEALTH SERVICES (SHS), A REGIONAL NETWORK OF HOSPITALS, PHYSICIANS AND SENIOR CARE FACILITIES. THE NETWORK, FORMED IN THE LATE 1990'S, SERVES APPROXIMATELY 290,000 RESIDENTS IN LINN, BENTON, LINCOLN AND PORTIONS OF POLK AND MARION COUNTIES IN OREGON. IT IS LOCALLY OWNED, AND ITS BOARDS OF DIRECTORS INCLUDE HOSPITAL LEADERS, PHYSICIANS AND COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVES. AGH PROVIDES HEALTHCARE SERVICES REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOR, CREED, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, DISABILITY OR AGE. THE MISSION OF AGH IS TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY HEALTH AND ACHIEVE HIGH VALUE THROUGH QUALITY SERVICES ACROSS A CONTINUUM OF CARE. PROGRAM SERVICES:ALBANY GENERAL HOSPITAL (AGH) IS A 79-BED ACUTE CARE FACILITY AND HEALTH CENTER PROVIDING MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE GREATER ALBANY AREA. AGH HAS MORE THAN 900 EMPLOYEES AND 250 VOLUNTEERS SERVING THE MEDICAL NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. DURING 2013, AGH SERVED 2,879 INPATIENTS, HAD 24,059 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITS, PERFORMED 6,591 SURGERIES AND DELIVERED 578 BABIES. IN ADDITION, AGH PERFORMED 49,812 IMAGING PROCEDURES, HAD 33,869 HOSPICE VISITS, AND HAD 159,946 PHYSICIAN CLINIC VISITS.
