Explanation
Form 990, Part III, line 2
Culture Works undertook 2 new programs this year: Culture Works launched Power2give, an on-line cultural marketplace that allows all nonprofits in the 8-county Dayton Region to post and promote cultural projects in need of funding. Additionally, Culture Works implemented an outcomes-based grant process this year, which utilizes a panel process to score applicant organizations based on a prescribed set of scoring criteria which is evaluated annually.
Form 990, Part III, line 3
Culture Works ceased conducting the following program services: Arts Card Gift Program: Effective January 10, 2013 the organizations discontinued the Arts Card program. Arts card breakage income for the years ending June 30, 2014 and 2013 is included in the earned revenue for programs under the category of Community & Economic Development. Bulk Mailing as Shared Resource for Arts Organizations: Culture Works cancelled its leases on bulk mailing equipment and discontinued providing bulk mailing services to other arts organizations as it was determined it was more cost effective to utilize outside mailing houses for bulk mail. Board Governance Improvement Project: This project was concluded in June of 2013, as all the goals and objectives established for success had been met at that time.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11
The completed Form 990 is reviewed by the organization's Executive, Finance & Audit Committees, and then provided to the full board for approval.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15

OANO and AFP salary studies also extend to other positions within nonprofit organizations, and are used to determine fair compensation for the entire staff.
