CONSERVATORY STUDENTS ATTENDED MASTER CLASSES WITH HUBBARD STREET 2 (HS2) ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND HS2 DANCERS. WHILE IN RIO DE JANEIRO THE STUDENTS STUDIED AT LOCAL DANCE SCHOOLS, ATTEND PERFORMANCES AND PERFORM THEMSELVES AT PARTNER STUDIOS AND THEATERS. OUR CONSERVATORY STUDENTS ARE REGULARLY ACCEPTED TO HIGHER LEVEL DANCE STUDIES IN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE NATION - SEVERAL WITH SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT - INCLUDING ALVIN AILEY/FORDHAM COLLEGE, PURCHASE COLLEGE/SUNY, BERKELEY, POINT PARK, RUTGERS, MONT CLAIR, AND TISCH SCHOOL AT NYU. DREAM EMPLOYS THE PRINCIPLES OF ADVANCING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED MODEL FOR INSTILLING YOUTH WITH THE SKILLS NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS IN LIFE. STUDENTS TAKE FIELD TRIPS TO PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCES; RECEIVE OVER 100 HOURS OF DANCE INSTRUCTION IN MULTIPLE GENRES; PERFORM AT A WASHINGTON WIZARDS HALF-TIME; AND PRODUCE AND CHOREOGRAPH THEIR OWN END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTING THEIR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS.
