Explanation:

We started to do the income tax returns on our own last year because the Cost for doing it by a CPA was getting astronomical. We didn't realize the Tax people who had done it for us had filed an Automatic extension and and additinal three month extension last year, so we were under the impression that the return was due on or before Feb15th. Well we consulted a friend who has been deathly sick lately to help us out and because of his Illness he couldn't do anything for us at that time. When he could he told us we were beyond the filing date that the return was due Nov 15th, 2013 and that he would show us how to file an extension but doubted that the IRS would accept it ! It was denied so here we are not really sure how we got ourself in this predictament, which was unintentional, but I guess we are at fault but hope that you there at the IRS will understand that as a Non-profit organization every penny counts. We will make sure that this NEVER happens again, please be kind to us.
