	The primary program accomplishments have been achieved by the work of the Executive Policy Council, the Technical Standards Committee and the Events Committee.Executive Policy Council:ABO has developed a set of policy statements on a range of issues to inform members, reporters and others who wish to know the ABO's position on issues critical to the industry. These statements have been used with media, policy makers, elected officials and the general public upon request. In some cases, they also serve as guiding principles or strategic imperatives for the organization. These are updated and added to throughout the year, as circumstances dictate.

	The 7th annual Algae Biomass Summit was held September 30th to October 3rd in Orlando Florida, with 600 attendees from over 20 countries in attendance. The event featured 65 trade show exhibits, 100 poster presentations and 125 speakers. The Summit united industry professionals from all sectors of the world's algae utilization industries including, but not limited to, financing, algal ecology, genetic systems, carbon partitioning, engineering & analysis, biofuels, animal feeds, fertilizers, bioplastics, supplements and foods. The summit also participated in a facility tour of Alganol.

	The ABOs Technical Standards Committee, in a collaborative effort by over thirty universities, private companies and national laboratories, drafted and published Industrial Algae Measurements. This publication provides recommendations regarding standardization of various measurement methodologies (e.g., algae production, lifecycle analysis, etc.) for use in the industry with the goal of developing a common framework. ***This was mostly volunteer time, and $5,000 was allocated (based on a donation from the Algae Foundation) to graphic design and printing.
