THERE SHALL BE FOUR CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP: ACADEMIC, PRACTICIONER, STUDENT, AND EMERITUS. 1. ACADEMIC MEMBERS SHALL BE A TEACHER AND/OR RESEARCHER OF MANAGEMENT IN A COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, OR RESEARCH INSTITUTE. 2. PRACTICIONER MAMBERS SHALL BE A MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT OR OTHER MANAGEMENT PRACTICIONER. PRACTICIONER MEMBERS IN THE ACADEMY SHALL BE LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE TOTAL MEMBERSHIP. 3. STUDENT MEMBERS SHALL BE GRADUATE STUDENTS WITH AN INTEREST IN THE FIELD OF MANAGEMENT WHO ARE NOT OTHERWISE EMPLOYED ON A FULL-TIME BASIS; AND PAY DUES AT A REDUCED RATE FOR A MAXIMUM OF SIX YEARS OR UNTIL GRADUATION, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. 4. EMERITUS MEMBERS SHALL BE RETIRED WITHOUT FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT, A MEMBER OF THE ACADEMY FOR AT LEAST THE TEN YEARS PRECEDING QUALIFICATION AS EMERITUS, AND PAY DUES AT A REDUCED RATE.
