Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Pleasantville Fire Rescue Association is a volunteer rescue department consisting of a fire operations division and an emergency medical services division. It provides fire and ambulance services to approximately 130 square miles in Marion and Warren Counties with a total population of nearly 10,000.

	During the last year we have continued working with the School District and Pleasantville Police Department on AED Implementation, updating and management of a public access AED system, supplying all the equipment for them. We have the knox box system in town and are currently working through the city and the chamber of commerce to install most businesses with the Knox Box System. This is a box that mounts to the outside of a structure that will have a key to the front door in it. The fire department is the only one with the key to open it and it can only be released through our sheiffs office. This allows for a safer entry system to residents should there be a need for the fire department to gain access. Pleasantville EMS is also working with the Pleasantville Clinic to disburse health magnets that can be stuck on a fridge and located by Pleasantville EMTs upon arrival at a medical call. This will help the EMTs determine a patient's health information quicker, should they not be familiar with all of it. Pleasantville Emergency services also works with the school system in providing fire prevention to over 300 kids in Building Blocks Preschool though 3rd grade annually each October. The Pleasantville Fire Rescue Association responded to 52 fire calls and 298 medical calls in fiscal 2012/2013.
