	The Guild contracts with legal firms to represent its police officer members in their contract negotiations with the City of Kirkland. The Officers employment contract is negotiated an renewed every two years. In addition, the attorneys are retained throughout the year for contract disputes and other claims and/or actions that may be filed against any Officer(s) while engaged in their professional duties and activities.

	The Guild offer members reasonable short-term, emergency loans. Such loans may not exceed $500 and must be repaid within 90 days.
