What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? GLMA is the largest professional organization serving school library media professionals in Georgia. Its members are dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of school library media specialists and to quality education in Georgia's schools.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Georgia Library Media Association, Inc. provides school library media specialists support for their activities and continuing education to enhance their expertise and maintain their professional standards in light of technological advancements. The GLMA provides additional training and peer support opportunities through the sponsorship of an annual Summer Conference and year-round staff support. They also support an annual Reading Bowl and provide media specialist project grants and awards.
