Part X : FIN48 Footnote	The Association files its exempt income tax returns in the U.S. federal and Iowa jurisdictions. The Associations policy is to annually consider the positions reflected on their exempt tax return with code, rules and regulations and record the accrual of income taxes based on this evaluation. The Association has evaluated its tax positions taken on the years open to examination 2010 - 2013 and has determined that there is no significant uncertainty regarding the timing of amounts or deductions claimed on the tax returns. Therefore, no reconciliation of unrecognized tax benefits is reflected. If the Association had determined a liability was necessary any related potential interest expense and penalties would be charged to operations.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15a: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management	A subcommittee of the Board periodically reviews compensation for other water associations and districts. In addition, the CEO provides engineering services to the Association and the subcommittee obtains comparable data from engineering companies when possible.
