THESE CHAPTERS ALSO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THE WAY OF PUBLIC OUTREACH TO K-12 STUDENTS, FUNDING MORE THAN $715,000 IN SPONSORSHIPS OF LOCAL AGENCY EFFORTS FOR TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ENTERING THE ENGINEERING OR PUBLIC WORKS RELATED FIELDS. OVERALL, THE CHAPTERS AND BRANCHES CONDUCTED MORE THAN 900 ACTIVITIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA, INCLUDING THEIR MEMBERSHIP AND BUSINESS MEETINGS.
