THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ANDERSON CORPORATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IS TO PLAN AND UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES LEADING TO A STEADY JOB GROWTH, INCREASING ECONOMIC DIVERSITY AND A STRENGTHENED EMPLOYER BASE IN THE CITY OF ANDERSON AND COUNTY OF MADISON, INDIANA. CENTRAL TO THIS PURPOSE IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDUSTRIAL PARK TO ATTRACT AND MAINTAIN BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRY. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 150,000 SQUARE FOOT PLANT. IN ADDITION, A.C.E.D. WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING TO NAVIGATE ZONING AND OTHER REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. G.T.I. INVESTED APPROXIMATELY 24 MILLION DOLLARS IN THE NEW FACILITY, CREATING UP TO 325 JOBS BY 2016. G.T.I. IS AN AUTO PARTS MANUFACTURER WHOSE MAIN CUSTOMER IS THE HONDA MOTOR CO. DURING THE YEAR WE RESPONDED TO 228 INQUIRIES AND HOSTED 68 VISITS.
