Explanation
Part III
What is the primary exempt purpose?
Part III
Bethel Express is an organization committed to raising up urban children ages 6 through 12
Part III
from every geographic sector of Rochester, New York to become productive citizens in our society. Our goal is to
Part III
develop a culture of young people who are progress oriented and highly motivated to become
Part III
productive citizens through spiritual, academic, and emotional progress.
Part III, Line 28
Spiritual Strength:
Part III, Line 28
For the past 12 months we have worked with several children that have been impacted by the miasmic
Part III, Line 28
effects of the urban plight. Through our efforts every one of the children has been given hope in the
Part III, Line 28
midst of struggle to the extent that every aspect of their lives has been affected by way of our
Part III, Line 28
message. The children are committed to excelling in school and strengthened in their faith, and have played
Part III, Line 28
significant roles in our weekly service and outreach.
Part III, Line 29
Social Stability:
Part III, Line 29
Bethel Express Enterprises (BEE) has continued to move forward to teach our children that sound

identified with urban life. The program is in place so that as students become mature, they can be
Part III, Line 29
equipped, trained, and prepared to be a productive citizen in our city/society; thus improving their

financial condition and sense of personal value. In addition to our Work Readiness component, we
Part III, Line 29
implement a social/life skills process to teach them the importance of:
Part III, Line 29
interpersonal communication, awareness of the opposite gender, personal responsibility, and preparing
Part III, Line 29
for the future. As children advance in the teaching, we are able to send them to summer camps that
Part III, Line 29
include good moral character development. Girls are given opportunity to learn the importance of
Part III, Line 29
quality hygiene maintenance to include hair care and proper behavior and dress, as well as self-esteem.
Part III, Line 29
Additionally, we address similar (gender specific) topics for young men attending our meetings. At present,
Part III, Line 29
all of our kids are influenced by teaching on healthy relationships.
