28 INDIAFEST IS THE JOYFUL CELEBRATION OF THE RICH CULTURE AND HERITAGE OF INDIA. THE FESTIVAL FEATURES DELICIOUS INDIAN FOOD, GAMES OF CRICKET, VOLLEYBALL & BADMINTON ALONG WITH YOGA AND CULTURALLY RELATED TOURNAMENTS. THERE IS AN AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE. THERE ARE CULTURAL PERFORMANCES BY CHILDREN, ADULTS & LOCAL ARTISTS. KIDS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE HENNA, ART WORKS, FACE PAINTING, CHESS, AND KITE FLYING. THERE ARE CULTURAL PERFORMANCES BY CHILDREN, ADULTS & LOCAL ARTISTS. KIDS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE HENNA, ART WORKS, FACE PAINTING, CHESS, AND KITE FLYING. EXHIBITS ARE PRESENTED BY SCHOOLS AND REGIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. CEREMONIAL PARADES AND FLAG HOISTING CELEBRATE INDIA'S INDEPENDENCE. FELLOWSHIP AWARDS ARE PRESENTED TO DESERVING STUDENTS. OVER 10,000 PEOPLE ARE SERVED BY THIS PROGRAM.
FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 29 THE FESTIVAL OF NATIONS IS THE LARGEST MULTI-CULTURAL EVENT IN MINNESOTA. THE FESTIVAL OF NATIONS OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP AN APPRECIATION, RATHER THAN JUST TOLERANCE, OF VARIOUS CULTURES AS WE BUILD FOR THE FUTURE TOGETHER.
