THE ORGANIZATION'S PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2014 IS WELL ABOVE THE 10% THRESHOLD FOR THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCE TEST. TEST 2 - SOURCES OF SUPPORT: THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED IN 1986. ITS MISSION IS TO STUDY AND TEACH SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES AND TO PROVIDE A COMMUNITY GARDEN AS BOTH A TEACHING VEHICLE AND TO PROVIDE HOMEGROWN ORGANIC FOOD FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD. A LOCAL MULTINATIONAL BUSINESS OWNER WHO LENDS HIS EXPERTISE TO THE RUNNING OF THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS OUTREACH TO THE COMMUNITY. AN INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED CONSULTANT FOR FAMILY BUSINESSES WHO BRINGS HER SKILLS OF LEADERSHIP, ORGANIZATION AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT TO THE ORGANIZATION'S OPERATIONS. TEST 4 - AVAILABILITY OF PUBLIC FACILITIES: PARTICIPATION BY THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME IN ALL OF THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE FREE TO THE COMMUNITY. 1.THIS ORGANIZATION'S PUBLIC FUNDING IS PRIMARILY USED FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND USE OF A COMMUNITY GARDEN (WHICH IT OWNS) AS A VENUE FOR EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICE.PARTICIPATION IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC-AT-LARGE AND ALL ARE INVITED TO ENGAGE IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: ROUTINE WEEKLY GARDENING SESSIONS WHICH PROVIDE COMMUNITY MEMBERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN ALL ASPECTS OF GARDEN PRODUCTION. MONTHLY PLANNING AND EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS LED BY EXPERIENCED GARDENERS. ONGOING COMMITTEE-BASED PLANNING FOR GARDENING ACTIVITIES BASED ON ONE'S AREA OF INTEREST. ASSISTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH PLANNING AND TROUBLESHOOTING IN THEIR OWN HOME GARDENS. THE CLASSES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. TUESDAYS EVENING CLASSES ARE DEVOTED TO THE TOPIC OF "DEATH, DYING AND YIELDING" WHICH INCLUDES TALKS FROM EXPERTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THURSDAY EVENING CLASSES ADDRESS READINGS ON TAOIST TEACHINGS. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES ARE DEVOTED TO THE APPLICATION OF SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES TO PERSONAL, COMMUNITY AND WORLD ISSUES. STUDIES OF SPECIFIC TOPICS OFTEN FORM SMALLER GROUP RESEARCH PROJECTS. THE FOUR WEEKLY CLASSES ARE HELD IN COCONUT GROVE, FLORIDA AND ARE ALSO CONFERENCED TO MEMBERS IN THE US, EUROPE AND SOUTH AMERICA VIA SKYPE. EACH CLASS IS RECORDED AND CAN BE DOWNLOADED FOR THOSE MEMBERS WHO ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND. 3.THE ORGANIZATION OWNS A LIBRARY OF OVER 5000 BOOKS AND 200 VIDEOS FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING AWARENESS. THIS VALUABLE COLLECTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL AMASSED OVER FORTY YEARS INCLUDES A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS SUCH AS SPIRITUALITY, PHILOSOPHY, PSYCHOLOGY, SCIENCE, AND MODERN COMMENTARY ON SOCIAL ISSUES. THIS LIBRARY IS A VITAL ONGOING RESOURCE AVAILABLE TO THE ORGANIZATION'S MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC. TEST 5 - ADDITIONAL FACTORS: THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS AND FUNDS A THANKSGIVING DINNER EACH YEAR WHICH HAS RANGED IN SIZE FROM 35 TO 80 PEOPLE. NEIGHBORS FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ARE INVITED TO JOIN THE ORGANIZATION'S MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SHARED EXPERIENCE. THE VEGETABLE GARDEN PROJECT IS HIGHLIGHTED DURING THIS EVENT, INCLUDING USING HARVESTED GOODS IN PREPARING THE MEAL. THE ORGANIZATION SENDS OUT EMAIL BLASTS ON A REGULAR BASIS IN EFFORTS TO ATTRACT MEMBERS TO ITS ONGOING ACTIVITIES. MEMBERS CONSULT REGULARLY WITH EXPERTS IN THE COMMUNITY TO GATHER INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO ENHANCE ITS ONGOING ENDEAVORS.
