Briefly describe the organization’s mission: DAIRY MAX, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT WAS ORGANIZED IN 1995 AND COMMENCED OPERATIONS ON JANUARY 1, 1996. DAIRY MAX IS A QUALIFIED STATE AND REGIONAL DAIRY PROMOTION PROGRAM "QP" CERTIFIED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) TO CONDUCT GENERIC DAIRY PRODUCTS PROMOTION, RESEARCH, AND NUTRITION EDUCATION. DAIRY MAX'S MISSION IS TO EXPAND MARKETS FOR DOMESTICALLY PRODUCED DAIRY PRODUCTS IN THE SOUTHWEST MARKETS OF THE UNITED STATES THROUGH ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONWIDE UNIFIED GENERIC DAIRY MARKETING PLAN. DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS TO MONITOR TRANSACTIONS FOR CONFLICTS OF INTEREST FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 12C The conflict of interest policy is on the Board's agenda annually and there are periodic compliance discussions between the Board and management during the year. Board members are asked to recuse themselves from voting if they are personally involved in a matter.
