What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Historically, the Organization operated a festival in the spring of the year calling attention to the many culinary and recreational opportunities offered by the City of Myrtle Beach and surrounding area. The festival attracted tourists to the Myrtle Beach area and generated tourism dollars for the benefit of the local economy. By doing so the festival served as a driving force to promote the social welfare of the Myrtle Beach / Horry County citizenry. A portion of the proceeds from the festival were used to support culinary programs at local educational institutions of higher learning.
