What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? GREAT BARRINGTON FISH & GAME, INC. ("THE CLUB") WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1915 AND INCORPORATED IN ITS CURRENT FORM IN 1962. WE PROMOTE FISHING, HUNTING & WILDLIFE AMONG THE MEMBERS & FAMILIES FROM GREAT BARRINGTON, MA, AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. THROUGH LOBSTER BAKES, HAM SHOOTS, AND MORE THAN A DOZEN EVENTS AT THE 40+ ACRE SITE ON LONG POND ROAD. WE ALSO RAISE FUNDS TO EDUCATE ALL WHO COME TO THE CLUB AS TO THE RESPONSIBILITIES AND REWARDS OF THE OUTDOORS. THE CLUB'S HAM & TURKEY SHOOTS PROVIDE YOUNGSTERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN SAFE & ACCURATE USE OF SHOTGUNS & RIFLES. ADULT MEMBERS GUIDE YOUNGSTERS & GUESTS IN TARGET SHOOTING AS WELL AS ARCHERY AND THE RAISING OF PHEASANTS IN THE CLUB'S PHEASANT PENS. WE AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY TO GRADUATE STUDENTS OF THREE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS.
