FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION
NEIGHBORWORKS ANCHORAGE IS A 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS BY PRESERVING HOMES, CREATING NEW HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES AND STRENGTHENING NEIGHBORHOODS. NEIGHBORWORKS ANCHORAGE HAS A HISTORY OF FOSTERING CHANGE, BEGINNING WITH THE REVITALIZATION OF THE SPENARD COMMUNITY. NEIGHBORWORKS ANCHORAGE WORKED WITH LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT, AS WELL AS RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, TO FORMULATE A PLAN TO UPGRADE THE COMMUNITY. THIS EFFORT RESULTED IN ROAD AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS, COUPLED WITH SMALL BUSINESS AND HOME IMPROVEMENT LENDING, WHICH SUPPORT THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

EXPERIENCED STAFF ASSIST POTENTIAL NEW HOMEOWNERS WITH THE LENDING PROCESS AND HELP DETERMINE HOW OUR LOAN PRODUCTS MAY BEST FIT THEIR NEEDS. WE OFFER DOWN PAYMENT AND CLOSING COST ASSISTANCE LOANS, FIRST MORTGAGES AND PARTNER WITH A NUMBER OF LOCAL LENDERS. ALL LOAN PROGRAMS ARE SUBJECT TO INCOME LIMITS AND OTHER BORROWER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS. EVEN THE BEST BUILT HOME WILL, AT SOME POINT, NEED TO UNDERGO REPAIRS OR MAJOR REPLACEMENTS.
