THE INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD IS A GOVERNING BODY OF THE SEIU WITH AUTHORITY TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE UNION. | Part VI, Section B, Line 15 - determination of officer compensation: | Pursuant to Article XI Section 6(c) of the SEIU Constitution and Bylaws, the International Executive Board (the "IEB") sets and approves the compensation of the International President and Secretary-Treasurer. Under Article 1(g) the President has the authority to fix the compensation for executive vice presidents. In 2000, the board decided that future annual increases would be the same as that approved for SEIU managers. The annual increase for SEIU managers is included in the annual budget presented to the board for its approval by the Secretary-Treasurer in January. Accordingly, under the managerial salary schedule, the full-time officers were given a 2.75% increase in 2001 and 2002, a 3% increase in 2003, a 2% increase in 2004, a 4% increase in 2005, a 3% increase in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and no increase in 2009. The average increase for managers in 2010 was 2.68%, accordingly. the increase in salary for full-time officers in 2010 was 2.68% all these actions were substantiated and documented contemporaneously. There were no increases in the management or officers' salary scales in 2011. SEIU managers and full-time officers were given a 2.5% salary increase in 2012, which was substantiated and documented contemporaneously. There were no increases in the management or officers' salary scales in 2013. |
