THE YMCA IS A NONPROFIT LIKE NO OTHER. THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE IN 10,000 NEIGHBORHOODS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND OVER 124 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. WHAT MAKES US ESPECIALLY IMPACTFUL IS WE'RE COMMUNITY CENTERED. WE BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER, BRIDGING THE GAP NOT ONLY IN COMMUNITY NEEDS, BUT BETWEEN SOCIAL GROUPS. WE BELIEVE IN THE ABILITY OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AND TO THIS END, OUR PROGRAMS ARE STRUCTURED AROUND NURTURING AND SUPPORTING LASTING AND MEANINGFUL CHANGE. THE RIDGEWOOD YMCA, FOUNDED IN 1902, IS A 501(C)3 NONPROFIT, CHARITABLE, COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION. THE RIDGEWOOD YMCA IS COMPOSED OF TWO LOCATIONS: THE OAK STREET BRANCH IN THE VILLAGE OF RIDGEWOOD AND CAMP BERNIE, A YEAR-ROUND CAMPING FACILITY, LOCATED JUST 50 MILES AWAY IN PORT MURRAY, NEW JERSEY.
