Explanation
Form 990, part III, line 4a Program Service description:
Ticket Servant's exempt purpose is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing low cost ticketing services to other nonprofits and religious organizations. Since it began operations in July 2001, the demand for Ticket Servant's services has grown tremendously proving that their ministry is filling a great need in the Christian concert and event world. Without a low cost ticketing solution, nonprofit ministries are forced to pay exorbitant fees to commercial ticketing companies which drives the cost of tickets up. When the purpose of a concert or event is to reach lives for Christ and not to make a profit, making a ticket affordable to an event is mission critical. Ticket Servant's partnership with like minded ministries during the last fiscal year helped make 20 Christ centered concerts possible including 1 concert where Ticket Servant donated their ticketing services. Ticket Servant helped to bring over 60,000 people together to worship and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Like most nonprofits, the support of volunteers is needed to accomplish the mission. Ticket Servant had over 250 dedicated volunteers giving over 1,100 hours of their time to serve in various ticketing roles at concerts and events including working the ticket windows, scanning tickets at the door, and working as ushers when needed. If your ministry is in need of a low cost professional ticketing solution, find out more at www.ticketservant.com. If you want to know more about having a relationship with Jesus Christ, please call us at 281-446-5725 or toll free at 1-800-446-5725. There is someone available 24/7 to talk with you and to pray with you.
Form 990, Part V, Line 2A:
Staff are compensated by a unrelated organization, KSBJ Educational Foundation, Inc. KSBJ Educational Foundation files all required payroll information returns as required by the IRS. As such, according to IRS instructions regarding common paymasters, the number of employees reported on Pt. V, line 2a, represents the number of employees who worked for the filing organization, but were compensated by the unrelated organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11
The Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm, reviewed by the President and Senior Director of Finance, and then provided to the Board of Directors prior to filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c
The organization requires its board of directors and officers to disclose any potential conflicts of interest twice annually at meetings of the board. The executive members of the board are responsible for monitoring the policy on a regular and consistent basis. Should a conflict of interest exist, interested parties are required to recuse themselves from the decision making process and subsequent vote.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15
The annual process for determining the compensation of the organization's top management officials and other officers involves comparative salary surveys, and is contingent on budget considerations. Recommendations are made by the HR Committee and compensation packages are approved by independent members of the Board of Directors. Documentation of deliberations and decisions made are kept in the minutes. This process and documentation is performed by an affiliated organization serving as a common paymaster.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 18
The public inspection copy of the organization's Form 990 and Form 1023 are available to the public at the organization's main office during normal business hours.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19
