Part X, Line 2:	The Eastern Area Links is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and is not a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509(c) of the Code. Accordingly, no provision has been made for income taxes in the accompanying financial statement. All income received and recorded during the year was related to the Eastern Area Links' tax-exempt purpose. The provisions included in accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America provide consistent guidance for the accounting of uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribe a threshold of "more likely than not" for recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Eastern Area Links performed an evaluation of uncertain tax positions as of April 30, 2014, and determined that there were no matters that would require recognition in the financial statement or, which may have any effect on its tax-exempt status. As of April 30, 2014, the statute of limitations for fiscal years 2011 through 2014 remains open with the U.S. Federal jurisdiction or the various state and local jurisdictions in which the Eastern Area Links files tax returns.
