28 OUR RURAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO NUMEROUS MEDICAL EMERGENCY CALLS VEHICLE ATV AND FARM EQUIPMENT ACCIDENTS STRUCTURE AND BRUSH FIRE AND WELLNESS CHECKS. AGAIN THIS YEAR THERE HAS BEEN AN INCREASE IN MARCELLUS SHALE DRILLING ACTIVITY WHICH HAS CAUSED US TO CONTINUE TO RECRUIT AND TRAIN FOR THE NEW PROBLEMS THIS ACTIVITY IS BRINGING TO OUR AREA. WE ALSO CROSS TRAIN AND PROVIDE MUTUAL AID WITH AT LEAST 6 VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENTS.
