The Organization's purpose is to encourage and protect informed individual choice regarding reproductive health care, to advocate public policies which guarantee the right to choice and full and non-discriminatory access to reproductive health care, and to foster and preserve a social and political climate favorable to the exercise of reproductive choice.

Form 990-EZ, Part V, Line 34 The Organization made numerous changes to its By-Laws during the tax year. Significant changes made are as follows: - The Organization's Board of Trustees will now be the same Board as Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, the Organization's controlling entity. - Trustees of the Board can now be removed by a three-fourths vote of the Trustees present but no less than two-thirds of the Trustees then in office. - The Board of Trustees is now responsible for reviewing and accepting the annual audit performed by an independent accounting firm. - The Organization's Officers shall have a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and a Treasurer. The Officers must include a representative from each state. - A member of a committee of the Organization may now participate in a committee meeting by means of a conference telephone or similar communications equipment allowing all persons participating in the meeting to hear each other at the same time. Participation by such means shall constitute presence in person. - The Organization's Nominating Committee shall now be appointed by the Chairperson and composed of at least three and no more then five said Trustees.
