The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) is a 501 (c)(6) Washington, DC-based trade association representing US companies with operations in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since its inception in 1993 AUCC has been at the forefront of advancing trade and business relations between the US and the Republic of Uzbekistan. AUCC prides itself in catering to the needs of our members, providing them with a platform to interact with policy makers in the US and the Republic of Uzbekistan and ensuring that bilateral commercial relations continue to be on the governments' top agenda. In addition, AUCC keeps its members apprised of business opportunities in Uzbekistan and organizes briefings by acknowledged experts on aspects of Uzbekistan's economy, business climate, society and culture. The chambers members are involved in the defense, manufacturing and exploration industries and include companies such as The Boeing Company, Case New Holland, Coca-Cola, FMN Logistics, ANADARKO PETROLEUM CO

28 An AUCC-sponsored Uzbekistan-US Annual Business Forum:On September 5, 2013, the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) celebrated its 20th anniversary of building durable relations between the USA and Uzbekistan. The chamber's celebration coincided with the 2013 US-Uzbekistan Annual Business Forum, an annual event that is fully organized and sponsored by AUCC members. The 2013 US-Uzbekistan Annual Business Forum was viewed by the chamber as an opportunity to call for stronger business engagement between the US and Uzbek Governments in order to help American and Uzbek people further improve their socio-economic situation and achieve greater financial prosperity. The 2013 forum largely focused on financial instruments and resources that could help existing and new US businesses enhance their success and expand their business plans for Uzbekistan. Presentations by the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation, US EX-IM Bank, International Monetary Fund, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency and other financial institutions helped address questions on how to secure trade and investment financing, currency convertibility and investment guarantees available to the US private sector.
