The previous equipment was older and needed to be replaced for safety reasons. The purchased equipment included a twisting belt, a spotting belt and fat pad practice mats. Program Service Expenses 1,543, Grants and allocations 1,485, Revenue 0 Grant No. 13-13 Mission Viejo Nadadores Grant Request The Mission Viejo Nadadores identified a need to purchase a portable dive station to aid with training an increased number of participants. This item assisted with teaching the basic drills for both novice divers as well as with the Lessons Diving Program. As a result, the Nadadores were able to teach more divers the basic techniques. The purpose of the additional portable dive station was to add more training stations to help with the increased number of divers, without having to purchase additional diving boards. The team experienced growth from 45 divers in 2006 to 180 divers in 2012. The new equipment has allowed the team to keep up with the growing number of athletes and will aid with additional long-term growth.
