What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE MISSION OF THE GREATER WASHINGTON ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS IS TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE LIVELIHOOD OF FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS AND CONSUMERS THROUGH ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION ON INDUSTRY MATTERS, WHILE PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICAL BEHAVIOR.

IT IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS' FEDERATION. NAIFA-GWDC PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, A NEWSLETTER AND KEEPS THE MEMBERSHIP INFORMED ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. By Law Amendments The annual meeting and elections of Officers and Directors of the Association shall be held in April, May or June, and may be combined or held separately from the Installation of Officers and Directors and membership meeting, if mutually agreed upon by the Board of Directors. The membership of this Association shall be given at least two (2) weeks' notice of the date and place of these meetings whether held separately or combined."
