What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Providing a voice for Maine commercial fishermen and their families through publication of their newsletter, representation on the Lobster Zone Council, Lobster Conservation Management teams, the Large Whale Take Reduction Team, Gear Advisory Group, the e-molt project, Maine Fishermen's Forum Board, Working Waterfront Coalition, and the Mack Point Dredging Committee, as well as maintaining regular, open dialogue with the Marine Resource Committee of the Maine Legislature.
