What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To promote and engage in educational, civic, and intercultural activities in order to enrich the lives of members and the larger community, and to work toward achieving common goals
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Services to Youth- Triangle Park Chapter's Services to Youth Computer Award project provides refurbished computers to students who do not have computers in their homes. This year the organization provided over 2,000 refurbished computers to under-served youth participating in the 21st Century Community Learning Center. Triangle Research Park Chapter also provide a Mentor Program for 4th and 5th grade girls at Fayetteville Street Elementary School and launched a career seminar entitled "Explore More".

29 Health and Human Services- The Triangle Park Chapter collaborated with the Lincoln Community Health Center focusing on childhood obesity, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, heart disease, and health disparities. The chapter also focused on promoting organ donation awareness, bone marrow donation awareness, and the Susan Komen Race for the Cure. Partnering with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC with the focus of eliminating food instability, the chapter filled backpacks weekly with nutritious food to feed 50 economically disadvantaged students over the weekend during the fiscal school year. This initiative provided over 1,800 backpacks a year.

30 International Trends and Services- The organization collaborates with groups who are working toward the UN's goal of combating poverty, disease, illiteracy and the spread of HIV/AIDS around the world. This year the organization joined the World Overcomers Christian Church to help implement a program called "Personal Best" which provides personal hygiene products to young women in Kenya.

Other Programs- The Triangle Park Chapter continues to expand its programs in other Facets such as The Arts and National Trends and Services. Books to Africa is a program that collects books to send to Africa for children without the means of acquiring reading material. The Arts and Humanities Academy which is a partnership with the Global Scholars Academy, provides tutorial and musical enrichment through offering afterschool courses in African Dance, computerized art and instrumental music. The organization also initiated music and art programs at the Durham Nativity School and taught classes utilizing a curriculum that met the North Carolina Standard Course study. In addition, $2,500 was awarded in scholarships.
