What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, LODGE # 80, IS A FRATERNAL BENEFICIARY SOCIETY. IT WAS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATE; TO ENCOURAGE LOYALTY AND ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; TO PROMOTE LAW ENFORCEMENT; TO IMPROVE MEMBERS' PROFICIENCY IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES; TO ENCOURAGE AND CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIAL, CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AMONG LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS; TO CULTIVATE A SPIRIT OF FRATERNALISM AND MUTUAL HELPFULNESS AMONG ITS MEMBERS AND THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE; TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSION AND TO MORE FIRMLY ESTABLISH THE CONFIDENCE OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SERVICES DEDICATED TO THE PROTECTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY.
