What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Anti Malware Testing Standards Organization ("AMTSO") focuses on addressing the global need for improvement in objectivity, quality and relevance of anti-malwaretesting methodologies.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Anti Malware Testing Standards Organization (AMTSO") focuses on the following four areas:- Providing a forum for discussions related to the testing of anti-malware and related products.- Developing and publicizing objective standards and best practices for testing of anti-malware and related products.- Promoting education and awareness of issues related to the testing of anti-malware and related products.- Providing tools and resources to aid standards-based testing methodologies.During the fiscal year, we have continued to produce and revise standards for testing security software. We have slowly grown our member base, and begun development of a Real Time Threat List that will allow vendors, testers, and users near real-time access to meta-information about spreading malware. In addition, we have introduced the Features Settings Check service on our website, allowing anyone to test the configuration of their anti-malware software. These activities are a critical step in fulfilling AMTSO's mission to improve the testing of anti-malware products.
