What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE BUSINESS CLIMATE IN THE CITY OF STANWOOD BY: SUPPORTING AND INITIATING ACTIVITIES WHICH WILL BRING BUSINESS TO STANWOOD AND ENCOURAGE LOCAL RESIDENTS TO BUY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE LOCALLY. INFORM MEMBERS OF AVAILABLE SERVICES, GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS, SOCIAL ISSUES AND MANAGEMENT TOPICS TO ASSIST THEM TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO REMAIN PROFITABLE CONTRIBUTING EMPLOYERS TO THE COMMUNITY.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE CHAMBER SPONSORED SEVERAL COMMUNITY EVENTS INCLUDING THE PORT SUSAN SNOW GOOSE & BIRDING FESTIVAL, SOAP BOX DERBY, FARMERS MARKET, SUMMER CONCERT SERIES, NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME, AN OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS AND LIGHT UP YOUR HOLIDAY TO DRAW PEOPLE AND CUSTOMERS INTO OUR COMMUNITY. THE CHAMBER'S GOLF CLASSIC BROUGHT BUSINESS TOGETHER AND RAISED MONEY FOR AN ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP. THE CHAMBER'S RIBBON CUTTING PROGRAM WAS USED NUMEROUS TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS A WAY TO PROMOTE NEW BUSINESSES IN STANWOOD. MONTHLY MEETINGS PROVIDED MEMBERS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK AND GROW. A CLOSE WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CITY OF STANWOOD ENABLED THE CHAMBER TO PASS ON RELEVANT INFORMATION TO MEMBERS AND KEEP THEM INFORMED.
