GREENTREKS' MISSION IS TO INSPIRE AND EDUCATE PEOPLE OF ALL WALKS OF LIFE TO TAKE ACTION TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE. GREENTREKS PROGRAMS ARE PRODUCED FOR THE PUBLIC - HIGHLIGHTING INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATING STORIES OF PEOPLE, ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES WORKING TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. OUR DOCUMENTARIES AND WEBSITES ARE UTILIZED BY COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON A DAILY BASIS - INCLUDING THE EVER GROWING STORMWATERPA.ORG WEBSITE AND DVD SERIES AND THE EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE ECOEXPRESS.ORG THAT PROVIDES EDUCATORS WITH SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL CURRICULUM MATERIALS.GREENTREKS' LARGEST PROGRAM, STORMWATERPA, HAS BEEN A LONG TERM INVESTMENT WITH MANY SUPPORTERS, HOWEVER A MAJORITY OF THE FUNDING HAS BEEN FROM THE ORIGINAL SUPPORTER, THE WILLIAM PENN FOUNDATION (WPF). WPF'S BELIEF AND DEDICATION TO THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT AND ULTIMATELY THE SUCCESS OF STORMWATERPA HAS ENABLED GREENTREKS TO CONTINUE TO REACH OUT FOR MORE DIVERSIFIED SUPPORT. GREENTREKS CONTINUES TO DISTRIBUTE THE STORMWATERPA DVD SERIES TO THE PUBLIC - OVER 1,500 DVDS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED AT VARIOUS CONVERENCES, WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS WITHIN THE PAST 3 YEARS AND REQUESTS FOR THE DVD SERIES COME FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.THE CONTINUED INVESTMENT OF WPF IN THE STORMWATERPA SERIES IS CRUCIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THE OVERALL PROGRAM, HOWEVER GREENTREKS HAS BEEN MAKING VALIANT EFFORTS TO DIVERSIFY THE FUNDING STREAM FOR THE STORMWATERPA PROGRAM SINCE 2008 - HAVING RECEIVED FUNDING FROM OTHER FOUNDATIONS AND MOST RECENTLY COLLABORATING WITH THE PHILADELPHIA WATER DEPARTMENT ON A SERIES OF STORMWATER SUCCESS CASE STUDIES FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION.MANY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS HAVE RECOGNIZED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE STORMWATERPA INITIATIVE AND HAVE CONTRIBUTED VALUABLE CONSULTING AND PROFESSIONAL IN-KIND OR DISCOUNTED SERVICES TO AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE PROGRAM INCLUDING; THE BRANDYWINE CONSERVANCY, THE NONPROFIT CENTER AND THE GOOGLEADWORDS PROGRAM.GREENTREKS WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN THE GLAXOSMITHKLINE (GSK) PULSE PROGRAM, WHICH PAIRS GSK EMPLOYEES WITH NON-PROFITS AROUND THE WORLD TO AID IN KEY PROGRAM OR ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE NON-PROFIT. GSK DONATES THEIR EMPLOYEES TO THE CHARITIES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, COVERING THE GSK EMPLOYEE'S SALARIES AND BENEFITS - A MAJOR IN-KIND DONATION.MANY TOWNSHIPS, MUNICIPALITIES, SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND FAMILIES ARE FINDING THEMSELVES IN TIMES OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS. THE PAST FEW YEARS HAVE BEEN DIFFICULT FOR ALL - CORPORATIONS, NONPROFITS AND FAMILIES - HOWEVER ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND OUR RELIANCE ON OUR NATURAL AND BUILT WORLDS DO NOT GO AWAY. GREENTREKS NETWORK IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF PROGRAMS TO THE COMMUNITY.
