| General Explanation Supplemental Information for Form 990-PF | In accordance with its vision, mission and grantmaking, the Crane Family Foundation dedicates resources to a number of evolving world-wide initiatives that respond to community needs.During 2012 these initiatives included:Continued support for Hope Farm (which mentors low income, at-risk, African American boys) in Fort Worth, Texas to provide necessary maintenance, repairs and funds for on-going operations.Continued support for Mendies' Haven, an orphanage in Katmandu, Nepal.Relief efforts by assisting churches that are assisting those displaced from their homes due to natural disasters and continued support of Forward Edge International who has an on-going program of support for natural disaster victims.Continued support for the International Foundation in Washington DC. They have on-going efforts to bring leaders together around the teachings and principles of Jesus to promote reconciliation. They assist in the administrative duties associated with the National Prayer Breakfast held annually in Washington D.C. Continued support for the fund raising event called "Day With The Pros". This is a golf fund raising event that raises support for Love146 and Hope Farm.Support for various organizations who provide housing, education and rehabilitative services to people who are low income and needy, including people who have been rescued from sexual slavery, and those who are being rehabilitated after trauma and or incarceration.
