PART V, LINE 4: THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR GREATER BUFFALO, INC. IS A COLLECTION OF ALMOST 750 FUNDS, WHICH INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 600 ENDOWMENT FUNDS. THESE FUNDS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED BY INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. MANY ARE CREATED IN A WILL OR THROUGH A PLANNED GIFT. GRANTS ARE AWARDED FROM THESE ENDOWMENT FUNDS TO SUPPORT MANY CHARITABLE CAUSES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CLIENT'S INTERESTS. IF THE DONOR DIRECTS THEIR GRANTMAKING TO SUPPORT CHANGING NEEDS OVER TIME, THEN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DETERMINES THE GRANTEE.
