	The San Luis Valley Ski Hi Stampede, Inc. (Stampede Committee) provides family oriented entertainment and recreation to rural communities of south-central Colorado (some of the poorest counties in Colorado - Conejos and Costilla). Stampede Committee economically promotes the community as a whole and also promotes family values. It also includes educational programs about the rural history and heritage of the San Luis Valley. Stampede Committee is also involved in many civic activities in the community including higher education scholarships, raising funds for local cancer center, and youth activities which promote family values, sportsmanship, learning of self-responsibility and discipline. An estimated 19,000+ participants benefit from all events during the 4 day event.
