Explanation:

The county purchased our lodge home for a new jail. After loosing our legal fight to remain, this required all records and furnishings to be placed in storage until a suitable place (lodge home) could be found. Unfortunately using volunteer help to package the lodges financial records, lodge. kitchen and office furnishings, computer and back-up disks, a number of boxes were not marked, which required excessive time for us to locate the necessary records and file our 990 for the tax year 2013 - 2014. We had received an extension of filing - However, subsequently we had difficulty finding the required records, and engaging an accounting firm to put together the 2013 - 2014 form, honestly, we just ran out of time, to meet the deadline. Would appreciate a favorable ruling of not monetarily penalizing our lodge for being late. We believe we have the location of out records under control, and will have next years 990 form filed by the required filing date.
