Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4
The organization's bylaws were updated to include the Pacers Foundation as a supported organization, as well as removing the University of Indianapolis as a supported organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11
The audit committee and various other board members provide independent reviews of the 990. The Audit Committee then convenes to discuss. The Audit Committee convened to discuss and approve the 990 on. Any questions and/or proposed changes to the 990 are then be discussed with IYI staff and forwarded to our CPA firm. All board members receive a copy of the Form 990 prior to filing.

A board chairman reviews all board COI and the President's COI. Any conflicts are vetted at that time. All IYI staff complete the COI and the President reviews those statements to determine whether any conflicts arise. If there are any, they are vetted at that time.

The Executive Committee determines the President/CEO's annual compensation package based on their experience on other non-profit boards throughout the state, i.e. what other executives in his position are making, and the goals that the President/CEO has met that were approved by the board at the beginning of the fiscal year. Annual reviews are performed for the rest of the staff and the ultimate decision as to the raise % is determined by the President/CEO within budget guidelines approved by the board. The Compensation Committee reviewed a survey as part of its review of the President/CEO's compensation package.
