What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Intertribal Tax Alliance, Inc.'s (ITA), exempt purpose is to provide tax educational information to federally recognized tribal governments. The ITA accomplishes its exempt purpose by sponsoring and hosting the National Intertribal Tax Conference to provide educational tax information and assistance to tribal governments for the purpose of developing, implementing, and administering various tribal governmental taxing programs that raise revenues to defray the cost of providing essential tribal governmental services. In addition,the ITA provides educational information on tax complinace issues related to tribal governments.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Intertribal Tax Alliance, Inc., sponsored and hosted the National Intertribal Tax Conference that was designed to provide educational tax information and support to tribal governments for the purpose of the development, implementation, compliance, and administration of various tribal governmental tax programs. The National Intertribal Tax Conference was held on the Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians Reservation on September 24-25, 2014, with over 100 participants representing over 40 different federally recognized tribal governments. Also, attending the conference were various state and federal governmental representatives.
