THE VOTING MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE GIRL SCOUT MOVEMENT, 14 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER, REGISTERED THROUGH THE COUNCIL. MEMBERSHIP OF THE COUNCIL SHALL CONSIST OF AT LEAST 100 PERSONS FROM; DELEGATES ELECTED BY NEIGHBORSHOODS/SERVICE UNITS; MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, THE CHAIR OF EACH NEIGHBORHOOD/SERVICE UNIT AND FORMER PRESIDENTS OF THE COUNCIL. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, GIRL SCOUTS OF MAINE CHANGED THE WAY IN WHICH IT ACCOUNTS FOR ITS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT SERVICES TRUST (UST) BASED ON CLEARER INFORMATION PROVIDED REGARDING OWNERSHIP OF RESERVES HELD BY UST ON MEMBERS' BEHALF. THE NET EFFECT OF THIS CHANGE WAS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNEMPLOYMENT TRUST ASSET IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,472. A PRIOR PERIOD ADJUSTMENT WAS REFLECTED ON THE STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $47,281, WITH THE REAMINING $5,191 BEING ADJUSTED IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
