Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 The Club is exempt from federal income taxes on member's transactions and other activities related directly to its nonprofit purposes under section 501(c)(7) of the internal revenue code. The Club is, however, subject to federal and state income taxes on unrelated business income. Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) topic 740, Income Taxes, prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Club's management has evaluated the impact of this to its financial statements. Management is not aware of any material uncertain tax positions, and has not accrued the effect of any uncertain tax positions as of March 31, 2015 and 2014. The Club's income tax returns are subject to examination by taxing authorities, generally for a period of three years from the date they are filed with few exceptions, the Club is no longer subject to income tax examinations by federal, state or local tax authorities for years before March 31, 2011. The Club's policy is to classify income tax related interest and penalties in interest expense and administration expenses, respectively. Revenue is reported net of sales and other taxes collected from members and remitted to governmental authorities.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2 A business relationship exist between two key employees. The Tennis Pro Shop is owned by the Tennis Director, Joe Wang and the Marketing Director, Diana Wang.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 4 The members voted in approval to give the forty member governing body increased authority from $295,530 to $700,000 to spend on capital projects without consent of the membership.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 Organized as a non-stock, nonprofit with members. The members elect the forty member governing body. The members approve significant decisions of the governing body.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a On the first Monday of each October, those in the "Resident", certain "Senior", and certain "Absent" categories of membership vote to elect roughly one third of the forty member governing body or Board of Governors. A Governor's term lasts three years before reelection is required with a three term limit applying for one year before running again.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Certain By-Law changes and any sale of land requires a membership vote. Also, expenditures on any item involving more than $700,000 requires a membership vote.

A review of job performance is conducted semi-annually. Compensation is reviewed annually and job reviews are performed semi-annually by the GM/COO for other key employees. These key employees are under contract and those contracts are approved by the Chairman of the Board and the Club Treasurer who are elected annually by the Board of Governors.

 d 247 Army Navy Country Club (ANCC) paid three invoices totaling $247 on behalf of Army Navy Country Club Foundation(ANCCF) in tax year 2014. This is in addition to $8,885 from prior years, listed on the books of ANCC as a receivable from ANCCF. The ANCCF is still in its infancy and will reimburse ANCC when it starts raising funds. ANCC has never considered itself as a controlling entity of the ANCCF until a technicality was noted in the ANCCF By-Laws this year. Consideration is underway to determine if control should be relinquished.
