General explanation attachment	Organization's primary exempt purpose: Pima County Interfaith Council (PCIC) is an independent organization made up of congregations, schools, and other not-for-profits organizations. PCIC's mission is to build organizations that are universities of public life, dedicated to developing citizens in the fullest sense: participants in our democracy and agents in the creation of a more just society. Part III Program Service Accomplishments:Training of over 650 leaders in institutions.New allies became involved including St. Christophers Catholic Church, Church of the Apostle Episcopal, Scholarships A-Z, the United Food and Commercial Workers, and Pima Community College.Funding was secured for JobPath, a living-wage workforce initiative, and Kidco, a before and after school recreation/childcare program.Low-income bus fares were not raised due to the organizations advocacy.Civic academies were held to discuss and teach about immigration, energy efficiency, education, transit, the affordable care act, workforce training, and civic participation. A large Education Accountability Session was held with candidates for the Arizona legislature and the Pima Community College Board of Governors.
