Explanation:

The Woodland Industrial Stormwater Association failed to timely file the organization's 2014 Form 990-EZ. The Association is requesting abatement of the late filing penalty based on reasonable cause. The late filing was due to the reasonable cause described in this statement, provided under penalty of perjury, not willful neglect. The Association's CPA appropriately filed a first extension on May 15, 2015, but the CPA inadvertently failed to file a second extension on August 17, 2015, due to an administrative oversight. The Association exercised ordinary business care and prudence by using a CPA to prepare the organization's annual Form 990-EZ and has never been late and has innstigated procedures to correct the problem. The return was filed immediately after discovering the second extension issue. The Association's board will work closely with the CPA to avoid future late filings, and therefore, respectfully request a one time abatement of the late filing penalty.
