	Active and retired State of Michigan governmental employees are eligible for membership in the Association. The Association provides its members with up to date information on the issues pertaining to the State of Michigan governmental employees as well as legal representation of the employees versus the employer on any employment related litigation. In the fiscal year 2014-15, the Association averaged approximately 1,380 members.
