IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED TO SUPPORT ALL TYPES OF ORGANIZATIONS FORMED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL AND SOCIAL CARE FOR THE NEEDY AND DESERVING CHILDREN IN THE GREATER HOUSTON METROPOLITAN AREA. RECIPIENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE NOMINATED BY THE SPONSORS (VOLUNTEER MEMBERSHIP) OF THE CHILDREN'S FUND, INC. A CHARITY SELECTION COMMITTEE SCREENS THE NOMINATED RECIPIENTS AND THEIR WRITTEN PROPOSALS AND CONDUCTS INTERVIEWS OF THE PROSPECTIVE RECIPIENTS.
