What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSES IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NETWORKING, CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PUBLIC EDUCATION.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSES OF THE OZARKS (APNO) WAS FORMED IN 1993 BY JUST A FEW NURSE PRACTITIONERS IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI IN ORDER TO PROVIDE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. OVER THE YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS DEVELOPED INTO A FULLY FUNCTIONING, NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHICH OFFERS A MULTITUDE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATION, NETWORKING, AND PROMOTING THE PRACTICE OF APN'S. IN 2014, APNO HELD ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE, "APN'S: CARING CRADLE TO GRAVE", WITH 350 IN ATTENDANCE. ADDITIONALLY, APNO PROVIDES CEU MEETINGS FOR MEMBERS. APNO IS AN APPROVED PROVIDER OF CONTINUING NURSING EDUCATION BY THE MIDWEST MULTISTATE DIVISION, AN ACCREDITED APPROVER BY THE AMERICAN NURSES CREDENTIALING CENTER'S COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION. NETWORKING MEETINGS ARE ALSO HELD AND ARE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS, APN STUDENTS, AND ANYONE WISHING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT APNO.
