CVOEO PROVIDED A WIDE VARIETY OF VITAL SERVICES TO 21,913 UNDUPLICATED PEOPLE DURING THE YEAR. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: 33,236 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DONATED TO CVOEO PROGRAMS. THREE COMMUNITY ACTION OFFICES IN MIDDLEBURY, BURLINGTON AND ST. AS THE LARGEST DIRECT SERVICE EMERGENCY FOOD PROVIDER IN VERMONT, THE CHITTENDEN EMERGENCY FOOD SHELF SERVED 10,817 PEOPLE. THE FOOD SHELF ALSO PROVIDED CAREER TRAINING TO 25 INDIVIDUALS WITH LOW-INCOMES THROUGH THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN ACADEMY. 1,471,734 POUNDS OF FOOD WERE DONATED TO CVOEO'S 3 FOOD SHELVES. COMPREHENSIVE WEATHERIZATION SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 490 INDIVIDUALS WITH LOW INCOME. EMERGENCY HEATING REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 104 HOMES. THE FINANCIAL FUTURES PROGRAM OFFERED BUSINESS COUNSELING AND TRAINING, FINANCIAL, CREDIT CLASSES AND COACHING, MATCHED SAVINGS PROGRAM (IDA - INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTS), AND SUPPORT AND/OR JOB TRAINING REFERRALS. 673 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN THE GROWING MONEY PROGRAM. 18 RECEIVED MATCHING FUNDS THROUGH THE IDA PROGRAM AND 169 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE IN ACCESSING FUNDING FOR SELF-EMPLOYMENT. THE VOICES AGAINST VIOLENCE PROGRAM RECEIVED 1,595 CRISIS AND REFERRAL CALLS; PROVIDED SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY TO 750 INDIVIDUALS; PROVIDED SAFETY AND SUPPORT IN LAURIE'S HOUSE TO 32 WOMEN AND 28 CHILDREN. 16 FAMILIES WERE SERVED IN TRANSITIONAL HOUSING. VERMONT TENANTS PROVIDED FREE DIRECT SERVICE TO TENANTS INCLUDING ADVICE, ADVOCACY AND REFERRALS. VTT ALSO CONDUCTED WORKSHOPS FOR VARIOUS GROUPS ON RESIDENTIAL HOUSING LAWS, CODES AND MORE. THE CONDUCTED RENT RIGHT CLASSES IN ALL FOUR COUNTIES SERVED BY CVOEO. VTT SERVICES OVER 2,121 HOUSEHOLDS IN FY 14. THE MOBILE HOME PROGRAM (MHP) IMPROVED THE LIVING SITUATION OF MOBILE HOME PARK RESIDENTS BY HELPING TO CREATE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION AND PROMOTING LEADERSHIP, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, ASSISTING RESIDENTS ON PARK SALES, CLOSURES, RENT INCREASES AS WELL AS INFRASTRUCTURE AND HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES.
