Explanation
Form 990, Part III, Line 4d: Other Program Services Description
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Housing & Community BuildingJOP funded the building of homes for needy families and the elderly, who previously lived in make-shift tents, rusty sheets of tin and cardboard shelters. 17 homes were built, each with a concrete foundation, sturdy roof, walls, sanatation facilities and a door. Community facilities were enhanced with the funding of multipurpose building at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, which is in progress. Over the past 8 years, 477 homes have been built for the poor. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: DentalThe dental clinic at St. Pius X Church in Kingston, Jamaica is now very active with volunteers from all over the USA. This past year, 3 mission trips were completed with 6 volunteer dentists, 13 assistants/hygienists and 3 lay people from the US. 679 dental patients were seen and provided with services including cleanings, extractions, fillings and many other treatments and referrals. Amounts reported exclude in-kin dental care professional services valued at $54,880. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Food & GoodsDuring the annual food drive, 25 to 40 volunteers gathered to sort various food items at St. John the Evangelist Church in Naples, FL. These items were labeled and cataloged. They were then loaded into a tractor-trailer container and shipped to Jamaica. In fiscal year 2013-14 we shipped 502 boxes or items of food. An estimated 400 elderly poor receive food from the St. Pius X Food Pantry once or twice per month. Reported amounts include non-cash in-kind food valued at $17,570. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: MedicalThe medical clinic at St. Pius X in Kingston, Jamaica operates 4 days per week, with a part-time local physician who provides care on a deeply discounted basis. The clinic is open to all indigent patients in the poor neighborhood of St Pius, regardless of ability to pay, or church affiliation. We estimate an average of 40-60 patients visit the clinic per week, i.e. 2,500 patient visits per year. Jamaica Outreach Program supplies the clinic with medicine and much-needed equipment. The clinic dispensary supplies patients with medications free of charge. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Mission TripsFive mission trips to Kingston were made this year, by 38 volunteers. Each major trip is typically 4 to 5 days and volunteers pay for their own airfare, local transportation, meals and lodging in a convent-hostel (except for 14 dental hygienists and assistants who received travel subsidies). Expenses totaling $4,984 are reported here and reimbursement from volunteers is reported as Other Revenue. Activities focus on dental and optical care and assistance in repairs, administration, education and other needs.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process

That report was verbally discussed and is noted in the minutes of the Board Meeting. All directors receive a copy of Form 990 and it is reviewed and discussed by all those present at a designated Board meeting prior to filing with the Internal Revenue Service.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts
Each Officer and member of the Board shall annually execute a statement which affirms that such person has received a copy of the Conflict of Interest Policy; has read and understands it, and has complied with the policy, including the reporting of any potential conflicts of interest and/or has updated such information as to his or her personal financial interests as the Annual Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement may require.
