THE OSMAN FOUNDATION, INC. (THE "ORGANIZATION") HAS TRANSITIONED FROM OPERATING AN ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL MEETING WITH OVER 1,000 ATTENDEES TO AN ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO ASSIST K-12 STUDENTS REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL THROUGH ACADEMIC AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. THE ACADEMIC AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS ARE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED IN FORM 990, PART III AND MORE FULLY DESCRIBED ON THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE. AS A RESULT OF THE TRANSITION, THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE HAS LESSENED. TO THIS EXTENT, THE ORGANIZATION IS IN ITS EARLY YEARS (SEE TREAS. REG. 1.170A-9(F) (3)(II)) AND ITS PUBLIC SUPPORT WILL BROADEN.THE PUBLIC SUPPORT TEST EXCEEDS 10%. THE ORGANIZATION MEETS THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES TEST AS FOLLOWS:- THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY SOLICITS THE GENERAL PUBLIC. ITS PUBLIC SUPPORT HAS ALSO EXCEEDED 10% OF TOTAL SUPPORT IN PRIOR YEARS.- THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS REGULAR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS THROUGH SOLICITING CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL SPONSORS TO MAKE DONATIONS THROUGH ITS FULLY DEVELOPED WEBSITE USING ITS DONATION PAGE. DONATIONS WERE RECEIVED IN THE CURRENT YEAR AND WILL CONTINUE IN FUTURE YEARS.- THE ORGANIZATION IS PLANNING A FUNDRAISER FOR 2015, WHERE THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL BE SOLICITED AND THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE PUBLICIZED.- THE ORGANIZATION HAS SUBMITTED VARIOUS STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS) EDUCATION GRANT REQUESTS TO SEVERAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS, AS WELL AS TO PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS IN FUTURE YEARS.- IN ORDER TO ATTRACT MORE PUBLIC SUPPORT, THE ORGANIZATION HAS ADDED TWO UNRELATED PERSONS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN A PRIOR YEAR AND AN ADDITIONAL UNRELATED PERSON IN THE CURRENT YEAR. THESE ARE PEOPLE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION AND A DESIRE TO HELP IT SUCCEED. HISTORICALLY, THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION (EDUCATION CONFERENCE) WAS WELL SERVED BY A NON-PUBLIC BOARD. THE ORGANIZATION IS ESTABLISHING A FIVE-PERSON ADVISORY BOARD MADE UP OF COMMUNITY LEADERS WHO HAVE A PARTICULAR INTEREST AND EXPERIENCE WITH THE MISSION. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO YOUTH WHICH IS THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THIS CONTEXT. IN OTHER WORDS, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND IS ATTENTIVE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION IS NOT A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION.
